Mexican Senators Visit AzMeCo Methanol Plant
On June 13, 2013, a delegation of Senators from Mexico, accompanied by Ilgar Mukhtarov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Mexico, visited the methanol plant operated by AzMeCo in the Garadagh district.
During the visit, the guests toured the facility and were provided with detailed information about AzMeCo’s methanol production project—the first of its kind in the region. The Mexican delegation expressed particular interest in Azerbaijan’s government-led initiatives supporting the development of private entrepreneurship. They praised the Azerbaijani government’s strong commitment to fostering private sector growth and innovation.
The visit concluded with a business meeting between the senators and AzMeCo’s management, during which both sides exchanged views on economic development, industrial collaboration, and potential avenues for future cooperation.
