First Methanol Exports from Azerbaijan via the Volga-Don Canal
On August 30, 2014, AzMeCo completed its first export shipment of methanol to Turkey via the Volga-Don Canal, with the loading of the vessel SIG. This milestone marked a significant innovation in the logistics of methanol sales and transportation, as it was the first time large volumes of methanol were shipped through this route.
Freight coordination, along with the preparation of shipping, customs, and transit documentation, was managed by GNPC, AzMeCo’s exclusive transport agent.
