AzMeCo Joins the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan
In March 2014, the Azerbaijan Methanol Company (AzMeCo) was officially admitted as a member of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AEC). During a regular meeting of the AEC Presidium held at the Confederation’s headquarters, AEC President Mr. Mammad Musayev presented the certificate of membership to Mr. Fuad Hatamov, Head of Public Relations at AzMeCo.

The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (AEC), established on March 5, 1999, and officially registered on April 9, 1999, is a non-profit, non-governmental, and self-governing organization. It unites legal entities and individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activity, regardless of ownership type or legal status, on a voluntary basis. The organization is dedicated to protecting the legal and economic interests of entrepreneurs and promoting a socially responsible and profitable-free business environment.

AEC plays a vital role in strengthening Azerbaijan’s market infrastructure and supports the development of entrepreneurship in alignment with the State Entrepreneurship Development Programme. The Confederation fosters long-term business relationships among its members, promotes investment, innovation, and business initiatives, and helps build a healthy entrepreneurial ecosystem.

It also supports local businesses in finding domestic and international partners, provides informational resources, and facilitates the study and application of global best practices in entrepreneurship within Azerbaijan.

Today, AEC brings together over 5,000 entrepreneurial entities, including around 50 economic and socially-oriented associations and unions. It is a member of the International Organization of Employers, the World Association of NGOs, and the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The Confederation also maintains close cooperation with the embassies of the USA, UK, Germany, France, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, and others, along with international economic and social organizations and Azerbaijani embassies abroad.

AzMeCo’s membership in AEC reflects the company’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, strengthening industry collaboration, and contributing to the sustainable development of Azerbaijan’s economy.
