AzMeCo Establishes Scholarship Program for Students of Moscow State University’s Baku Branch
AzMeCo, the owner of the first methanol plant in the region, has launched a new scholarship program for students of the Faculty of Chemistry at the Baku branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University. This initiative, part of AzMeCo’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, aims to support the education and motivation of top-performing students and to help cultivate the next generation of professionals for Azerbaijan’s growing petrochemical industry.
The scholarship program is open to students across all four years of the undergraduate chemistry program. A total of eight scholarships have been allocated:
Scholarship recipients are selected through a competitive process overseen by a Selection Committee, jointly appointed by the Rector of the Baku branch of Moscow State University and the Chairman of AzMeCo’s Board of Directors.
In addition to financial support, students in their third and fourth years will have the opportunity to undertake practical training at the AzMeCo methanol plant. Upon graduation, scholarship holders will also be considered for employment opportunities within the company.

- Four “Gold Scholarships” valued at 150 AZN per month
- Four “Silver Scholarships” valued at 100 AZN per month

Speaking about the program, Nizami Piriyev, Chairman of the Board of AzMeCo, stated:
