Students of Moscow State University’s Baku Branch Visit AzMeCo Methanol Plant
On August 18, 2012, a delegation of students and lecturers from the Baku branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University visited the AzMeCo methanol plant as part of an educational and industry engagement initiative.
The visit began with an informative session in the plant’s conference room, where guests were given a comprehensive overview of AzMeCo’s operations and the methanol production project. Company representatives highlighted the strategic importance of the plant and its contribution to Azerbaijan’s petrochemical industry.
Following the presentation, the students were taken on a guided excursion of the plant, where they had the opportunity to observe ongoing construction work, learn about the plant’s technological infrastructure, and explore key operational sites.
The visit sparked great interest among both students and faculty members, offering valuable insights into one of the region’s most advanced industrial projects and reinforcing the importance of collaboration between industry and academia.
