Representatives of ANAS Visit AzMeCo Methanol Plant
On July 24, 2014, a delegation from the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), led by its President, Akif Alizadeh, visited the Azerbaijan Methanol Company (AzMeCo) plant. The delegation also included Professor Vagif Abbasov, Director of the Y. Mammadaliyev Institute of Petrochemical Processes and member of ANAS, as well as Professor Dilgam Tagiyev, Doctor of Chemical Sciences.
During the visit, the guests were introduced to the region’s first methanol plant and received comprehensive information about the project. Touring the plant’s control unit—equipped with state-of-the-art technology—they praised the establishment and operation of such a modern industrial facility as a significant achievement for Azerbaijan’s chemical industry.
